My name is Amber Nakayama. I am an artist, poet, music discoverer, and marketer. I’m a California native, but have been in the PNW for several years now!
Here’s a random list of things I seriously love: My husband, introverted time, dancing to a bop, longboarding, naming things, chubby babies, good skin care, Titanic history, dusk, swimming, maple donuts, and pickled foods. Oh, and obviously art.
Art and creativity has been a part of my identity and how I express myself for as long as I can remember. Everything around me inspires my art and poetry. When I feel inspired, I feel like I can take on the world. And, wow, do I love seeing other people do the same! I hope things I make can spark inspiration, nostalgic feelings, or appreciation of the world around us.
My artistic voice revolves around themes of nostalgia, the imperfect & unfinished, loose realism, negative space, nature and home.
